Obituary of Robert Arthur Riddell

RIDDELL: Robert Arthur -

A resident of Chatham, Rob Riddell passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus with family at his side on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at the age of 65. 

Born in  Chatham, Rob was the son of the late George and Mary (McGinnis-Dawes) Riddell. 

Rob will be missed by his wife Lorie Riddell (Martinek).

Dear father of Cole Riddell (Marie), Kade Riddell and Daylen Riddell.

Proud grandfather of Ashley, Alissa and Austin. 

Great-grandfather to Anna and Noelle.

Brother to Linda (Dawes-Riddell) Martin. Brother-in-law to Leroy Martin. 

Uncle to Barry Martin, James Martin and Melanie Martin. 

Great-uncle to Lorie Chivers (Cody) and Danny Martin. Great-great uncle to Myrah.

Also missed by many relatives and family. 

Rob was a talented artist. He has painted numerous portraits and murals throughout Chatham-Kent and has made clocks out people's guitars. He made a clock out of a duck once, but the cat got to it. Rob had played in several bands including the Melody Drifters and Shenandoah. He was passionate about building model airplanes and war dioramas. Rob was a member of the former Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 628.

Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 12:00 pm until the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm. Those hoping to attend are required to register online at (https://signup.com/go/TnTATap) or phone the funeral home at 519-351-2040. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario have mandated that all attendees wear a mask. The Service will be live-streamed on the Funeral Home website.
