Bev passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the CKHA-Chatham Campus on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at the age of 94.

Bev was born in Weymouth North, Nova Scotia on May 18, 1925.

Beloved wife of the late Victor Charles Jewiss (2008).

Loving mother of Elizabeth and Donald Steele of Branson, Missouri, Catherine and Arnie Rush of Prince George B.C. and Paul and Janice Jewiss of Devlin, Ont.

Proud grandmother of Sean Steele, Charlie (Jennifer) Egleston, Lindsay (Beau) Johnson, Andrea (AJ) Hawley, Jennifer (Dave) Marshall and great-grandmother to Nathan Steele; Raven, Rhaia and Ashon Egleston; Eli and Ethan Johnson; Cohen and Isaac Hawley and Selina Stolz.

Fondly remembered by a niece Pauline (Tom) Payne and family.

Predeceased by two grandsons, Phillip Jewiss and Sam Egleston.

Bev was a life member and past president of the Kent Regiment Chapter IODE and the Municipal Chapter Chatham Kent IODE. She was past president of the Kent Deanery Anglican Church Women, a member and past president of Holy Trinity ACW, a member of the Hospitaller Order of St. John of Jerusalem (London Commandery) and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to Branch 28 Royal Canadian Legion.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, ON, on Friday, August 2, 2019 from 7-9 p.m.

The Funeral Service will take place at Holy Trinity/St.Paul's Anglican Church, 81 Selkirk Street, Chatham, ON, on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 1 p.m., with Rev. C.J. Adams officiating.

Donations in memory of Bev to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
