Obituary of Robert John "Bob" Jackson

JACKSON: Robert John "Bob" - A resident of Chatham, Bob Jackson passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 with his family at his side at the age of 75. Born in Chatham, Bob was the son of the late Morley and Mona (Sadler) Jackson. Beloved husband and best friend of 54 years to Rosanne (nee Turner). Loving father of Deb Robertson (Dave), Diana Broadbent (Rob) and Shawn Jackson (Jenn) all of Chatham. Proud grandfather of Ryan Broadbent (Heather), Matt Robertson (Erica), Sarah Robertson, Courtney Smith, Breanne Jackson and Emerson Jackson. Great-grandfather to Jackson Broadbent. Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Bob owned and operated Robert Jackson Fuels for over 40 years. He loved golfing, and was a member at the Blenheim Golf Club for 40 years. He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, particularly euchre. He was a member of the Sertoma Club, the Santa Claus Parade, the Wish Centre board and coached for the Youth Bowling Council for 25 years. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday, March 25, 2016 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2016 with Rev. John Anderson officiating. Cremation to be held with a private family interment to take place at Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date.
