Obituary of Louise Schryver

SCHRYVER: Mary Louise, B.A., B.L.S., A.M.L.S A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Belleville, Louise Schryver died at Riverview Gardens on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the age of 97. Born in Belleville in 1914, Louise received her B.A. and her B.L.S. from the University of Toronto and her A.M.L.S from the University of Michigan. She was awarded the Order of Canada in 1967. Louise worked at the Corby Public Library in Belleville, the Midland Public Library, the Calgary Public Library and the Chatham Public Library. She was the Past President of the Ontario Library Association. Louise was the daughter of Allan and Mabel (Dyer) Schryver. She is survived by her brother Ross, two nieces Jane Argent and Anne Briggs and two grand-nephews and a grand-niece. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment was held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013.
