KERR: Joy (nee O’Neill) – A resident of Duart, Joy Kerr passed away at Four Counties Health Services in Newbury on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at the age of 91. Born in Tawatinaw, Alberta, Joy was the daughter of the late Harry and Elsie (Kellogg) O’Neill. Beloved wife of 68 years to Alex Kerr. Loving mother of Robert Kerr (Heather) of Guelph, Kevin Kerr (Vicky) of Binbrook and the late James Kerr (1968). Proud grandmother of Sheena Stevens (Jon) of Mount Hope, Jonathan Kerr of Toronto, Leisa Kerr of Kingston and Alexandra Rodi (Nick) of Kitchener. Great-grandmother of Zack, Jake, Benjamin and Sammy. Dear sister to Clarice Moore (Ernest) of Chatham and Peggy O’Neill and Harry O’Neill (Daphne) both of Washington State. Predeceased by her siblings Bob, Fred, Pat, Mary and Jimmy. Dear sister-in-law to Ron Fuller (Bev) and Shirley Henderson. Special thanks to her friend Rosie Guyitt who was like a daughter to her. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Joy was the owner/operator of Kerr’s General Store in Duart for 33 years and a past member of the Covenanted Baptist Church. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Friday, August 16, 2013 from 12:30 p.m. until the Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
