His passion for driving came to fruition when he bought his own truck and joined Auto Haulaway, where he dutifully worked until his retirement. In 1987, and again in 1990, Henry was awarded the Certificate of Achievement by the Teamsters Join Council No.52. In 1989, Auto Haulaway recognized Henry with the Diamond Plateau in their new service awards program. This award recognizes years of dedication and effort on behalf of Auto Haulaway. The Landstar Ranger’s Safe Driving Award program commended Henry for his safe driving achievement stating he “demonstrates a level of professionalism second to none in the transport industry”.
