CARR: Marjorie. A resident of Chatham, Marjorie Carr died peacefully at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Wednesday May 22, 2013. She was born in Chatham, 96 years ago on August 30, 1916 in the same house where she lived for the past 35 years. Predeceased by her parents Samuel & Hannah Keats, her husband Morley Carr (1984), sister Ethel Stewart (1999) and son Paul Carr (2001). Beloved mother of Larry & Gladys Carr of Jordan, Linda & Bruce Christensen of Woodbridge, New Jersey, Carolyn Walker of Chatham, Susan & Dan Kaiser of Howard, Ohio, and Sheri Carr of Chatham. She will be lovingly remembered by her 16 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. Marjorie & Morley farmed together and raised their family in Dawn Valley before moving to Chatham. She was an active member of Maple City Baptist Church, Chatham. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Maple City Baptist Church, 500 Indian Creek Road West, Chatham on Saturday May 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rick Dressler officiating.
