Van BRUNSCHOT: Michiel Cornelius. A resident of Chatham, Michiel Van Brunschot passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Monday, March 25, 2013 at the age of 85. Born in Liempde, The Netherlands, son of the late Johannes and Hendrika (Appeldoorn) Van Brunschot. Beloved husband of Cora (Morlog) Van Brunschot for 57 years. Dear father of Joe Brunschot and his wife Janet of Chatham, Mary Ann Wieringa and her husband Kip of Chatham, and Michelle Zerwer and her husband André of Sudbury, and the late Gary Brunschot (1998). Opa of Angela (Dan), Kip (Mandy), Katryna (Spencer), Aidan, and Gillian. Great-Opa of Ethan. Brother of Katrina Vandewege of Belgium, Maurice Van Brunschot of Kitchener, Joe Van Brunschot of Holland, and the late Frank Brunschot and Annie Vogels. Michiel will also be dearly missed by his brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Michiel was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and a member of the Father James Assembly, 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and St. Joseph’s Council 10436. He loved travelling and camping in his motor home. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Members of the 4th Degree Father James Assembly #0867 and St. Joseph’s Council # 10436 of the Knights of Columbus will assemble for prayers on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 180 Wellington St. W., Chatham on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. Interment in St. Anthony Cemetery, Chatham.
