PEGG: Evelyn Lucette – A resident of the Chatham Retirement Resort, Evelyn Pegg passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus with her family at her side on Friday, March 1, 2013 at the age of 94. Dear daughter of Arlo and Mildred (Betts) Patterson. Beloved wife of the late Albert Peter Pegg (2000). Dear mother to Peter and his wife Pat and Arthur and his wife Barbara. She will be missed by her two grandsons, Brian and his wife Sara and Robin. Great-grandmother to Angus. Predeceased by her brother Elroy Patterson and her sister Lillian McNeill. Evelyn was born in Guilds. As part of the family orchestra, she played at church suppers and other musical venues and was a music teacher. Evelyn attended Guilds Public School, Blenheim High School and ‘The Pines’. Evelyn was a member of the Blenheim United Church, the Mission Band, United Church Women, Meals on Wheels, the Cancer Society and served in the choir for 60 years. Evelyn and Pete travelled together with friends to many parts of the world and lived a full life together. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at Blenheim United Church, 49 George Street, Blenheim at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 12, 2013. In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Evelyn to the Blenheim United Church, Kidney Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
