ROCHELEAU: Opal E. – A resident of Ridgetown, and formerly of Morpeth, Opal Rocheleau passed away at the Village on the Ridge, Ridgetown on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the age of 94. Born in Howard Township, Opal was the daughter of the late Ernest and Luetta (Coltman) Simpson. Beloved wife of the late Edward William Rocheleau (1980). Loving mother of Judith Jones (Keith) near Edmonton, AB and Yvonne Grey (Dan) of R.R. # 1 Morpeth. Proud grandmother of Barbara Podhorodeski (Edwin) of Saskatchewan, Melvin Jones (Jody) of Alberta, Scott Jones (Theresa) of Alberta and Margaret Jones (Dave Chevalier) of Nova Scotia. Great-grandmother to six great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her four sisters Marie Rose, Hazel Early, Myrtle Carnie and Ethel Rose. Opal was a former member of the Morpeth United Church UCW, the Morpeth Heritage Club and the Ridgetown Senior Citizens. She worked as a mail carrier with her husband Ed for many years. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street E., Ridgetown on Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 1:30p.m. until the Funeral Service at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Al McIntyre officiating. Interment to follow at Morpeth Cemetery. Donations made in memory of Opal to the Morpeth Cemetery or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
