NOORDAM: Willie Cornelia “For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” –Romans 8:18. On Tuesday January 29, 2013, God took Willie Cornelia Noordam (nee Koomans) home to her eternal rest at the age of 68. Born in S’Gravendeel, Holland on February 4, 1944, daughter of the late Dirk (1989) & Gerdina (1999) Koomans. Beloved wife of Paul Noordam. Dear mother of Liz & Rick Vandenbor, and Henry & Stacey Noordam, all of St. Thomas. Cherished grandmother of Mandy & James Forbes, Shelby, Matt, Josh, Brayden, and Keegan Vandenbor; Tanner, Riley, Logan, and Reeve Noordam; and great grandmother of Laikyn. Loving sister of John & Jane Koomans, Dick & Jean Koomans, Nellie & Pete Roelofsen, Dave Koomans, and the late Piet (1984) and Harry (2006) Koomans. Fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Anne Koomans, as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at Living Hope Free Reformed Church, 159 Gregory Drive East, Chatham on Friday February 1, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Tim Bergsma officiating.
