HASLAM: Rita Claudia - A former resident of Thamesville for 55 years, Rita Claudia Haslam passed away peacefully at her home in Chatham on January 27, 2013 at the age of 79. Born in Chatham, Ontario, daughter of the late Francis Anthony Mindorff and Marie Erickson. Beloved wife of Joseph E Haslam (predeceased). Loving mother of Mary Jane Haslam of McGregor, Ontario, and Frank Haslam (Karla) of Toronto. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Nicholas, Serena, and Claire. Predeceased by 2 sisters Catherine Roesch, and Sister Rose Mindorff, and 2 brothers Frank Mindorff and Robert Mindorff. Survived by 2 sisters Marie Gerber and Angela O'Neil both of Chatham, 1 brother Gerard Mindorff of Fort Erie, and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are welcome to gather at St Agnes Catholic Church. 52 Croyden Street, Chatham from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1, 2013. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with Father Daniel Bombardier as celebrant. A light lunch will follow. Family request in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the St Agnes Soup Kitchen (where Claudia often volunteered) or to St Vincent de Paul Children's Camp (that it may assist those in need to attend camp.)
