PARKER: Evelyn Marie. A resident of Chatham and formerly of Erieau, Evelyn Parker passed away at her home, surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the age of 91. Born in Erieau, daughter of the late Norman and Dorothy (Howell) Cox. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Parker (January 11, 2013) for 70 years (December 19, 1942). Dear mother of Bonnie Peel and partner Russell Dynes of Chatham, Susan Holmes and her husband Gary of Blenheim, Carol Alexander and her husband Larry of Chatham, and the late Linda Thomas (2003). Grandmother of Kristine Leyland (John), Tom Peel (Charlene), Leanne Pepper (Christopher), Rick Holmes (Sandra), Christopher Alexander, and Jodi Alexander (Rob Webster). Great-grandmother of 10. Sister of Dorothy and Bill Brinkman of Blenheim, the late Jim and Greta Cox, and the late Margaret Cox. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was a lifetime member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Chatham and A.C.W. She was a proud member of the “Pie Ladies”. Her entire life revolved around her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Monday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Eric Skillings officiating.
