Obituary of Wilfred Hopper

Hopper: Wilfred Lyle. A resident of Chatham, Wilfred Hopper died peacefully, surrounded by his family following a valiant 3 year battle with cancer on Sunday January 20, 2013, at his home at the age of 66. Born in Thamesville, son of the late Lorne and Violet (Pratt) Hopper. Beloved husband of June (Knight) Hopper. Dear step-father of Thomas Armstrong, Brandon (Chey-Lin) Armstrong, and Sheauna (Jason) Barnes all of Chatham. Grandfather of Destanee, Jordan, Jazzmin, Dayton, Aidan, Isabelle, Gracie, Mytchell, and Skott. Brother of Larry Hopper of London, Linda (Gerry) Baetsen of Merlin, and Marilyn Cartier of Chatham. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Wilf will be dearly missed by his cat Carmal, and puppy Gizmo. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 from Noon until 1:30 p.m. Memorial Service will immediately follow at the Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Eric Skillings officiating.
