CLARK: Lyle F. – A resident of R.R. # 2 Highgate, Lyle passed away peacefully with his wife Frances at his side at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the age of 86. Born in Orford Township, Lyle was the son of the late Ezra and Hazel (Manning) Clark. Beloved husband and companion of 62 years to Frances Clark (nee Gladstone). Loving father of Dr. Lavern Clark (Joan) of Blyth, Karen Clark-Thorne (Gary) of Ilderton, James Clark (Janet) of Highgate and Marlene Giroux (Brian) of Highgate. Proud grandfather of Dr. Erica Clark of Clinton, Dr. Shawn Clark (Marianna) of Saskatoon, Ross Clark (Shawna) of London; Sarah McCann (Wayne) of Sarnia, Christopher Thorne (Julie) of Kerwood, Aaron Thorne (Rebecca) of Mount Brydges, Matthew Thorne (Alison) of London; Alison Clark of Etobicoke, Darren Clark of Guelph; and Chatner DeNuke (Kim) of Cambridge. Great-grandfather of 12. Dear brother of Calvin Clark (Verna) of Thamesville, Mildred Hills of Highgate and Florence Cudmore of Thamesville. Brother-in-law to Rachel Clark of Highgate. Predeceased by sisters Grace and Gertrude, brothers Albert, Walter and Ross and one great-grandson. Also missed by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Over the years, he gave back to his community in so many ways: support for the Fairboard and his Church, canvassed for charitable organizations, served as a trustee for the Public School SS #6, coached local sports and Minor Hockey, drove for the Canadian Cancer Society, participated on the Four Counties Hospital Board and served politically at County Council. Lyle served as the Township Representative for the Good Roads Convention and the Parks & Recreation Representative at County Council Level. Notably Lyle was an original member of the Clearville Park development committee that expanded the beach, camping and washroom facilities, which many of us have enjoyed over the years. Cremation has taken place. A Funeral Service will be held at the Erie Street United Church in Ridgetown at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 2013 with Rev. Judith Fayter and Rev.
