Obituary of Anna Grace Summers

Summers, Anna Grace, a resident of Chatham. Anna Grace Summers died Saturday January 5, 2013 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance-Chatham Campus at the age of 78. Born in Blenheim, daughter of the late George & Violet (Rumble) Bell. Beloved wife of Beverley R. Summers. Dear mother of Mary Lou & John Wright, Petrolia and the late Wayne Summers (1965). Grandmother of Gregory Wright & Heather Wright. Sister of Dr. Ken & Mary Lou Bell, Wallaceburg; Frances & Joe Longe, Blenheim; Ron & Gail Ball, Burlington; Jayne & Jim Smyth, Kent Bridge and the late Audrey Garvey (2006). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Anna was a graduate of PGH Nursing (1955); University of Toronto, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (1971); Teacher at Humber and St. Clair College; Co-ordinator of the emergency department at Mississauga Hospital; the Director of Nursing at Leamington Hospital and an active golfer for many years. It was Anna's request that visitors wear casual attire. Friends will be received at the Mckinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Tuesday January 8, 2013 from 3:00-5:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at the Funeral Home, on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations in memory of Anna to the CKHA Foundation or the LHSC, Epileptic Unit would be appreciated.
