Obituary of Joanne Lynn Schatz

Schatz, Joanne Lynn, a resident of R.R. #2, Merlin. Joanne passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Friday July 20, 2012 at the age of 52. Born in Windsor, Ontario daughter of Mel & Joan (Salmons) Rice of Chatham and niece of Marion Salmons. She is also survived by her loving husband Fred; sons, Aaron & partner Sarah; Jon & daughter-in-law Sarah; Corey & partner Katy; brothers & sister in-laws Thom & Mag Rice; Dave & Deb Rice; and Paul & Eve Rice; granddaughter Madison Schatz, Madison’s mother Megan Postma and Kelsey her dog. Joanne was a special daughter, loving wife, caring mother, and super Nanny. She was a successful lawyer and touched the lives of many people both professionally & personally. She always was the first to help people in need and was a perfectionist with everything she did. She will be deeply missed by her husband and family and by all the other people whose lives she has touched. The Family would also like to thank all the doctors & nursing staff at C.K.H.A. 4th floor medicine ‘A’ for all the care and compassion during the last few days of Joanne’s life. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St.,Chatham on Monday July 23, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be conducted at the Maple City Baptist Church, 500 Indian Creek Road,W., Chatham on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Richard Dressler officiating. Cremation to follow.
