ONGENA: Murray Richard. A resident of Chatham, Murray Ongena passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the age of 53. Born in Chatham, son of the late Maurice and Janet (Lochrie) Ongena. Beloved husband of Betty (Murphy) Ongena. Dear father of Mitchell and Madeleine. Brother of Maureen (Brian) Nettleton of Chatham, Jim (Toni) Ongena of Penticton, B.C., Joe Ongena (late wife Shirley) of Chatham, Ken Ongena of Peterborough, Bonnie (Ron) Lewsaw of Woodslee, Glenn (Carolyn) Ongena of Chatham, and the late Margaret (Peg) Flaglor. Brother-in-law of Don Flaglor (Karen Labute) of Chatham. Son-in-law of Lois Murphy of Chatham and the late George Murphy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev.
