Obituary of John Primorac

PRIMORAC: John - A resident of Morpeth, and formerly of Dresden, John Primorac passed away at The Village on the Ridge in Ridgetown on Monday, May 14, 2012 at the age of 87. Born in Croatia, John emigrated to Sudbury, where he lived for many years before moving to Dresden. John was the son of the late Steve and Anna Primorac. Beloved husband of 63 years to Anne Primorac (nee Kolibash). Loving father of the late Ric Primorac (2009) and David Primorac of Toronto. Dearly missed by his daughter-in-law Roxanne Michele (Sebert) Primorac. Proud grandfather of Benjamin Primorac (Amy Lynn Sellers) of Durham, North Carolina and the late Christopher B. Primorac (2004). Dear brother to Vera Primorac of Sudbury and the late Mike Primorac (2011) and his wife Mary of Hamilton. John was a veteran, serving in the army as a gunner and protecting the harbour in Halifax during World War II. John and Anne were the former owners of the Dresden Hotel, which they ran together for 40 years. John was a music lover, and his instrument of choice was the mandolin. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Friday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Private Family Service will be held with the Rev. Al McIntyre officiating. Cremation has taken place. Donations made in memory of John to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
