Obituary of Barbara Ann Fletcher

FLETCHER: Barbara Ann. A resident of Tilbury, Barbara Ann Fletcher passed away at Tilbury Manor on Friday, March 23, 2012 at the age of 60. Born in Chatham on February 17, 1952, daughter of the late George (1973) and Isabella (1996) Fletcher. Sister of Robert Fletcher (Lenore) of Chatham, Jeanne Butchart (Ian) of North Bay, and the late Richard (1997) and his wife Mary (2007), and the late Kathleen (2000). Survived by nieces and nephews Keith Fletcher (Margaret), Kathy Davidson(Mike), Beverlee Griffith (Jeff), Shawn Butchart (Tricia), Shannon Butchart (Matt), Susan Vlasschaert (Frank), Steve Fletcher (Linda), and great-nieces and nephews Elizabeth and Sarah Fletcher, Krysten and Brent Griffith, Breanne Butchart, Bradley and Blake Vlasschaert, all of whom she dearly loved! Barbara had many friends and associates at Community Living where she worked for 39 years and was one of the original participants. She also had many friends at Valetta Presbyterian Church and First Presbyterian Church, Chatham. When Barb was no longer able to live by herself after 8 years, she moved to Christian Horizons with her extended family in Chatham for the next 4 years. For the past 2 years, she has lived at Tilbury Manor where she received loving and compassionate care. Our family is very grateful to the organizations and individuals who have played such key roles in Barbara's life journey! Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Sunday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. and on Monday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, March 26, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Michael Maroney officiating. Interment in Stewart Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Barb may be given to Community Living Chatham-Kent or Christian Horizons.
