FIELD: Raye Andrew. A resident of Chatham, Raye Field passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the age of 59. Born in Chatham, son of the late George and Myrtle (Tennant) Field. Beloved husband of Helen (George) Field. Raye and Helen celebrated their 36th Anniversary on March 20. Dear father of Jennifer Field and her husband Jason Krell of Toronto, Rachel Dyer and her husband Collin of Galion, Ohio, and Emily Field of Toronto. Grandfather of Sydney, Josephine, Cole, and Owen. Brother of Gloria Cryderman of R.R.#1 Thamesville, and brother-in-law of Edward and Marilyn George of Kingsville. Uncle of Beth Toplack (Paul), Debbie Wilson (Steve), Susan Bedell (Dean), Melissa George (Bob MacIntosh), and Nicholas George (Mingly Siu). Raye faced a 5-year illness with cancer with strength, dignity, and grace. In 2008, he received the gift of a liver transplant from his daughter Jennifer which allowed him to spend another 4 years with his family. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from 12:00-1:30 p.m. Memorial Service will immediately follow at the Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. with The Rev. Kristen Oliver officiating. Donations in Raye's honour to the London Regional Cancer Centre (Oncology) or the Foundation of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (Oncology) would be appreciated.
