ALLIET: Jean – A resident of R.R. # 3 Thamesville, Jean Alliet passed away at the Village on the Ridge in Ridgetown on Friday, March 16, 2012 at the age of 86. Born in Malvern, England, Jean was the daughter of the late Albert and Lillian (Goodingham) Davis. Jean was a war bride, and was married to her beloved husband Odiel for 70 years. Loving mother of Mary Davies (Len) of Muirkirk, Ronald Alliet of Windsor, Art Alliet (Sharon) of R.R. # 3 Thamesville, Ken Alliet (Marie) of R.R. # 4 Thamesville and Raymond Alliet (Kelly) of Highgate. Predeceased by her son Albert (1985). Proud grandmother of Carla Bell, Janet Palmer (Aaron), Jeffrey Davies (Nikki), Robert Miller (Sari), Darcy Alliet (Darla), Shannon Alliet (Tim Watson), Scott Alliet (Nicole), Billie Jean Hartley, Valarie Alliet, Amanda Lake, Shawn Holcombe (Melinda) and Chris Holcombe. Great-grandmother to numerous great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Joan Hewlett of Worcester, England. Predeceased by her brothers Bill Davis, Ron Davis and Geoffrey Davis and her sister Dulcie Astley. Jean was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 335, Highgate. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street E., Ridgetown on Sunday from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m.on Monday, March 19, 2012. Interment to follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery, Bothwell. Donations made in memory of Jean to the Alzheimer Society or the C.N.I.B. would be appreciated by the family.
