Obituary of William Clayton Dibbley

DIBBLEY: William Clayton “Sam” – A resident of Forest, passed peacefully Friday, March 2, 2012, in Ridgetown in his 84th year, with family. He is the son of the late Clinton and Edith (Edwards) Dibbley of Wheatley. Sam is survived by close friend and companion Annabelle Paterson, seven children Ruth Ann (Roger) Beaudry of Tilbury, Shirley (Kevin) Craner of Edmonton, Alberta, Girrard (Gerry) Dibbley of Ridgetown, Carmen (Mike) Poole of Muirkirk, Ellen (Claude) Brideau of Chatham, Daniel (Janice) Dibbley of Tilbury and Ronald (Penny) Dibbley of Tilbury. Also survived by 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Brother-in-law to William Lansue, Cecile Thibert (Chevalier) and Murdeena Wharran (Dibbley). Predeceased by one daughter Susan (1973), a brother Robert, his sisters Evelyn Butler and Penny Lansue and one infant brother. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place with a private service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
