Obituary of Jack Atkinson

ATKINSON, Jack Burk; A resident of Blenheim, Jack, passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at the age of 84. Born in Windsor, son of the late Douglas & Gladys Atkinson. Loving husband for 30 years to Lydia Atkinson. Cherished father to Lorrie Atkinson of Toronto, Paul Atkinson (Diane) of Blenheim, the late Karen Hannon, Becky Guay (Ernie) of South Buxton, and Warren Atkinson (Pamela) of Chatham. Step-Father to Janet Keenan (Patrick) of Chatham, Paula Child (Timothy) of Brights Grove, Brenda Blonde (Patrick) of Pain Court, and James Case (Judy) of Chatham. Forever missed by his 15 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Brother to the late Donald Atkinson, Richard Atkinson of Nepean, and Ruth Racey (Frank) of Woodstock. Predeceased by brother-in-law Ludwig Schneider. Jack was a member of the Blenheim Shrine Club, and the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing and spending time at his summer cottage in Gowganda.
