Obituary of Stephen Butler

BUTLER, Stephen: Peacefully, after a courageous fight, it is with great sadness to announce that Steve Butler passed away at his residence on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at the age of 56. Born in Chatham, Steve is the son of the late Charles and Ilene Butler. Cherished husband of Janice (Buchan) Butler. Devoted father of Sharon Butler and Paul Lacina of Chatham, Steve Jr. and Nicole Butler of Ingersoll, Erica Pinsonneault of Chatham and Justin Butler of Chatham. Dear Papa of Sophia Novelli; Hayden and Emma Butler; and Brooklyn and Braeden Pinsonneault. Dear brother of Jack Butler, Stanley Butler, Sue (Ron) Sparks, Lynn Neaves, Charles (Linda) Butler, Gary (Cathie) Butler, and Deborah Gore. Predeceased by sisters Ruthie Grant and Barb Strasburg and a sister-in-law Ruth Anne Butler. Dear brother-in-law of Sheila and Dennis Riley, Pam Buchan and David Waechter, Jim and Donna Buchan, Joanne Pratt, Larry and Angeles Buchan. Steve always strived to be an ongoing presence in the lives of each of his children and grandchildren. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
