Obituary of Samuel Malcalm Rountree

ROUNTREE: Samuel Malcalm – A resident of R.R. # 1 Blenheim, Sam Rountree passed away at Riverview Gardens in Chatham on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at the age of 85. Born in Verdun, Québec, Sam was the son of the late John and Ida May (Norman) Rountree. Beloved husband of 60 years to the late Eleanor Elizabeth “Betty” Rountree (nee Fullard) (2010). Loving father of Debra and Victor Smith of R.R. #1 Blenheim and the late Derek Rountree (1990). Proud grandfather of Desmond and Kathy Rountree of Candiac, Québec, and Dusten Rountree of Montreal, Québec. Great-grandfather to Ella, Kayla and Kiersten. Predeceased by his sister Brenda Carter, and his brothers Gordon, Norman and John Rountree. He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Sam operated a successful commercial laundry business in Montreal for many years. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
