Christian, Alan Joseph, a resident of Chatham. Alan J. Christian died peacefully at his home on Friday January 13, 2012 at the age of 58. Born in Chatham son of Harry Warner, Chatham and the late Marion (Miller) Warner. Beloved husband of Cheryle Anne (Holcombe) Christian. Dear father of Doug Taylor, Toronto; Carly Christian, Trenton; Kori Christian, Edmonton; Mathew Christian (Amanda), Winnipeg; and Bradley Kivell (Trudy), Leamington. Brother of George Christian (Lisa), Chatham; Frank Christian, Chatham; Tony Christian (Rachel), London; Barry Warner, Chatham and the late Linda Christian (2009). Brother-in-law of Donald Holcombe (Sherry), Thamesville and Dennis Holcombe, London. Also survived by lots of nieces and nephews. Alan served in the Canadian Military for 21 years. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Tuesday January 17, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. A Commital Service will be conducted at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham on Saturday January 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Donations in memory of Alan to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
