Obituary of Lloyd William Hazlett

HAZLETT: Lloyd William – A resident of Blenheim, Lloyd Hazlett passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the age of 85. Born in Camden Township, Lloyd was the son of the late Leamon and Emma Jane (Houston) Hazlett. Beloved husband of 65 years to Helen (nee Edwards). Loving father of Linda Willimot and her late husband Tom (2003) of Blenheim, his late daughter Joan De Maeyer (2011) and her husband Bev of Blenheim, Tom Hazlett and Helen Reeves of Blenheim, his late son Brian Hazlett (1982) and Karen Higgins and Rudy Eydnhoven of Leamington. Proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren, great-grandfather to 19 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandfather to one great-great-granddaughter. Dear brother to Mary Davis and her late husband Morley of Chatham. Predeceased by his brothers Gerald Hazlett (1990) and Wayne Hazlett (1990). Lloyd was a veteran who served in the Navy on the high seas. He collected coins and enjoyed his time as a member of the S.W. Budgie Breeders. Lloyd had worked at Mallory Industries for 15 years. Lloyd’s family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street Blenheim on Monday, January 9, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date with Rev. Pat Pickle officiating. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
