LUCIER: Hector Joseph. A resident of Pain Court, Hector Lucier passed away at the London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus on Sunday, January 1, 2012 at the age of 71. Born in Chatham, son of the late Bert Lucier and Cecile (Couture) Kowalyk. Hector was an amazing husband, the best father, a wonderful brother, perfect Papa, and the greatest guy. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 47 years, Vickie (Rankin) Lucier. Loving father of Leanne Lucier and her husband Devon Colquhoun of Tecumseh, Karrie Burrows and her husband John of Stoney Point, and Jamie Lucier and his wife Amy of Komoka. The loves of Papa's life are Aubree, Kohl, Brooke, Gracelyn, Roch, Mick, and Alexa. Dear brother of Annette and Reg Robertson of London, Lou Lucier and Lucille of Lighthouse Cove, and Nancy Vandergulik and Duke of Lucan. Predeceased by sister-in-law Eve Lucier. Adored son-in-law of the late Velma (Velsie) Rankin and Alvin (Fats) Rankin. Special brother-in-law of Joan and Garry DeVriese of Novi, Michigan, Larry and Anne Rankin of Kelowna, B.C., and Suzanne Rankin of Windsor. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Hector was a member of the Moose Lodge, Chatham for many years, and will also be missed by the "Dover Rats". Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday from 2:00-4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. with The Rev.
