Obituary of William Lorne Olde

Olde: William Lorne, a resident of Ridgetown. William (Bill) Olde died suddenly Thursday December 29, 2011 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus at the age of 82. Born in Glencoe, son of the late Glance & Minnie (Mitchell) Olde. Beloved husband of the late Betty Marie Joan (Joanne) (Mitchell) Olde. Dear father of Kim Parr, Chatham. Special Grandfather to Brittany & Mickala Parr. Brother-in-law of Norma & Keith Fisher, Camlachie; Margaret & Don Lennon, Petrolia and Doris Mitchell, Bright’s Grove. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Olde was a volunteer for CHAP for many years and the former owner and operator of ‘Ye Olde Crows Nest, Ridgetown. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main St., E., Ridgetown on Friday December 30, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Judith Fayter officiating. Interment in Alvinston Cemetery, Alvinston. Donations in memory of Bill to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
