HEARNS: Arthur Murry “Art” – A resident of Thamesville, Art Hearns passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at the age of 81. Born in Ridgetown, son of the late James and Ellen (Buller) Hearns. Beloved wife of Frances (Ryckman) Hearns for 29 years. Dear father of Wendy Hearns of Thunder Bay, Carol Ann (Brent) Griener of England, Jon (Becky) Hearns of Ridgetown and Leo Hearns of London. Father-in-law to Mandy Kicks of London. Grandfather of Sarah (David) Hay of Winnipeg, Jesse Branaman Hearns of England, Julia and Katie Hearns of London, and Kayla and Garrett Jensen of Ridgetown. Brother of Betty (Late John) Smith of Ridgetown, Margaret (Late Gerard) Goudreau of Ridgetown, Velma (Peter) Steinburg of Sutton and Barbara (Doug) Haskell of Erieau. Also brother-in-law to Rose Ryckman (Harold Want) of Fletcher, Dorothy (Ken) Ivison of Chatham, Irene (John) Bell of Tilbury, Jim Ryckman of Thamesville, Kathryn (Ray) Want of McKay’s Corners and Fred (Pat) Ryckman of Blenheim. Survived by five great-granchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Arthur retired from International Harvester. He enjoyed woodworking and making many things for family and friends. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street E., Ridgetown on Saturday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 21, 2011 with Pastor Brent Griener officiating. Interment to follow at Botany Cemetery. Donations made in memory of Art to Botany Cemetery or O.S.P.C.A. Chatham-Kent would be appreciated.
