CHARRON: Norman J. A resident of Chatham, Norman J. Charron died peacefully at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Monday November 7, 2011 at the age of 88. Born in Grande Pointe, son of the late Alphy & Isabelle (St. Pierre) Charron. Beloved husband of Rose (French) Charron of Chatham, he was predeceased by his first wife Phyllis (Fraser) Charron in 1988. Dear father of Rick & Lana Charron, Connie & Roland Benoit, and Bob & Mary Charron; all of Chatham. Loving grandfather of 9, great grandfather of 16, and great great grandfather of 4. Norm will be fondly remembered by Rose’s children Patricia Brown of Alberta, Chris & Rob Strong, Randall French & Angela Girard, Shelley Wilger, and Terry & Michelle French; all of Chatham, and also by her 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Brother of Lawrence & Maxine Charron, Leona Brown, Doris Hall, Kate & Oscar Gagnier, Norma & Bob Cartier, and the late Adlore Charron. (2002) Norm was President Emeritus of Charron Transport Ltd. and Charron Warehousing Inc. He was a longtime and dedicated member of Branch 628 Royal Canadian Legion. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion are asked to gather for a Memorial Service at the Funeral Home on Friday evening at 6:45 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday November 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Anderson officiating. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Memorial Donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society appreciated.
