Obituary of Gordon L. Brown

BROWN: Gordon Laughlin – A resident of Ancaster, and formerly of Ridgetown, Gordon Brown passed away at St. Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton on Friday, October 14, 2011 at the age of 78. Born in Toronto, Gordon was the son of the late Gordon and Lydia (Lear) Brown. Beloved husband of the late Marie Aileen Brown (nee Taylor). Loving father of David Brown (Danièle) of Port Hope, Heather Brown (Calvin Orok) of Sudbury, Scott Brown (Jacqueline) of Ancaster and Carol Brown (John Dutton) of Toronto. Proud grandfather of Alexander, Elizabeth, Maxwell, Michael, Gavin, Sarah and Timothy. Gordon is survived by his brother Beverly Brown (Patricia) of Etobicoke and his sister Frances Mason (Malcolm, deceased) of Levack. Gordon had worked in Program Administration for Employment and Immigration Canada. The Brown Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street E., Ridgetown on Friday, October 21, 2011 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Erie Street United Church, 7 Erie Street N., Ridgetown on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Judith Fayter officiating. Interment to follow at Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Thomas.
