McKAY:Sandra Leola. A resident of R.R.#3 Kent Bridge, Sandra McKay passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at the age of 67. Born May 11, 1944 in London, daughter of the late Gordon and Leola (Goff) McDonald, and daughter-in-law of the late Mac and Catherine (Grey) McKay. Beloved wife of Joe McKay for 42 years and cherished mother of Mary and Kevin Hadlock of Chatham, Julie and Gary VanMol of Muirkirk, and Neil McKay of Woodstock. Proud grandmother of Joel and Fiona VanMol, and Melanie Hadlock. Sister of Dona Preston of London, Mary Ford of Strathroy, twin brother Alex and Sharon McDonald of Watford, and Peter and Pam McDonald of West Vancouver. Sister-in-law of Christine Scott of London, and Ruth Scott of Waterloo. Predeceased by brothers Bob Scott, Ernie Scott, and brother-in-law Dave Ford. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Sandra was a Graduate of Chatham Public General Hospital School of Nursing (1966). Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Saturday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Private Family Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday with The Rev. James Brown of St. John's Botany United Church officiating. Cremation with interment in Botany Cemetery, Howard Township.
