Obituary of Eppe Boersema

Boersema: Eppe, A resident of Chatham, Eppe Boersema was taken home to be with his Lord on Friday, September 2, 2011 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance-Chatham Campus at the age of 89. He was born in Niezyl, The Netherlands and was the son of Heine and Albertje (nee Kremer) Boersema. Beloved husband of 60 years to Margaret Boersema (nee Postma). Loving father to Tina and Elco Medenblik of Chatham, Bertha and John Kraayenbrink of Port Lambton, Harry and Mary Jane Boersema of Brantford, and Mike and Debbie Boersema of Aylmer. Loving grandfather of 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his granddaughter Natasha, one brother and four sisters. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 4: 00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Grace Christian Reformed Church, 255 Tweedsmuir Ave. W. Chatham from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Wm. Koopmans officiating. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery. Memorial donations to honour Eppe’s life can be made to the Diabetes Association or the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee and would be appreciated by the family.
