Obituary of Shirley Glassford

Glassford; Shirley Margaret. A resident of Chatham. Shirley Glassford passed away suddenly after an extended illness, on Tuesday August 30, 2011 at Tilbury Manor, at the age of 75. Born in Chatham daughter of the late George Ernest & Ethel (Moore) Glassford. Dear sister of John Douglas Glassford; Oritha Morgan and the late Maitland, Claude, and William Glassford, Ina Brown, and Birdie Burke. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Shirley worked for 34 years for St. Joseph’s Hospital, Chatham with the food services department. After retirement she kept busy mall walking, baking & knitting. She was very active in her community at the St. Clair Estates and her church, Sprucedale United. A family interment service will take place at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. All are invited to celebrate Shirley’s life at an Open House to be held on Saturday September 17, 2011 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the St. Clair Estates Community Hall, 15 Dunkirk Drive, Chatham.
