Obituary of Ann Neely Tipping

Tipping, Ann Neely (Martin), a resident of Chatham. Ann Tipping passed away on Monday, August 22, 2011 at Riverview Gardens, Chatham at the age of 83. Ann was born and lived her whole life in Chatham. She was the daughter of James Neely Martin and Carrie McCormick Martin. Ann’s beloved husband Arthur passed away in May of 1999. She is survived by her dear brother and loyal friend, Douglas Martin of Toronto; and also leaves her son Christopher (Robin) of Chatham, and daughter Gilllian (Steven) of Toronto. Also living are 4 dear grandchildren; Hilary Tipping of Peterborough, Verity, Maggie, and Stuart Sylvester of Toronto. Ann also leaves a dear first cousin, Pauline Marshall of British Columbia; and her dear little dog, Arnie. Ann spent her entire working years in the field of education. She was a charter member of the Flora Campbell Auxillary, the Garnet Bracken chapter of the IODE, and a faithful member of Christ Church. A celebration of Ann’s life will be held at a later date. Ann took great pleasure in watching her children and grandchildren grow up. She enjoyed a full and happy life and will be sadly missed by those whose lives she touched.
