Obituary of Rose Van De Wauwer

VAN DE WAUWER: Rosa Clara Laura (Rose). A resident of Ridgetown and formerly of Erie Shore Drive, Rose Van De Wauwer passed away suddenly at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at the age of 79. Born in Raleigh Township, daughter of the late Alphonse and Marie (Mispelon) Crombez. Beloved wife of the late Pierre Van De Wauwer (2003). Dear mother of Terry Van De Wauwer and his wife Debbie of Chatham, and Sandra Vidler and her husband Tom of Erieau. Grandmother of Cory Van De Wauwer, Shannon Van De Wauwer, Ashley and Jon Goodbrand, and Bradley Vidler. Sister of the late Jean Bolohan, Mona Allossery, Mike Crombez, Roger Crombez, and John Crombez. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Rose was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Ridgetown, and the C.W.L. She worked at Molly & O.J.'s Restaurant in Erieau for over 20 years and she loved to Polka Dance. She was also a former swim instructor at the Y.M.C.A. in Chatham for many years. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers at the Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 95 Marlborough St. N., Blenheim on Monday, August 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation with interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim to follow.
