SOJAK: Lonnie James – A resident of Ridgetown, Lonnie Sojak passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at the age of 48. Born in Chatham, Lonnie was the son of the late Joseph and Bonnie (Burnham) Sojak. Beloved husband of Lyn Sojak (nee Sandercock). Stepfather of Chris Makey and his partner Marcy of Ridgetown and Kyle Makey and his fiancée Kristen of London. Step-grandfather of David Makey. Dear brother to Paul Sojak of Chatham and Matt and Stacy Sojak of Ridgetown. Proud uncle of Coady, Hunter, Calin, Garrett and Layne. Also missed by many friends and relatives. Lonnie had worked at Diamond Tooth Gurdy’s in the Yukon as well as Brownie’s Cove in Ridgetown. He gave 20 years of service to the L.C.B.O. Lonnie was the co-founder of Shugar Daddy’s Barbeque Sauce. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Friday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Al McIntyre officiating. Cremation to follow. Donations made in memory of Lonnie to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
