Obituary of Lammie Forsten

A resident of Blenheim, Lammie Forsten passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at the age of 88. Born in Ruinen, The Netherlands to her late parents Koop and Aalje (Abheren) Boer, Lammie emigrated to Canada in 1952. Beloved wife of the late Evert Forsten (2000). Loving mother of Harry Forsten and his wife Carol of Chatham. Predeceased by her daughter Alice Greenway (1998) and son-in-law William Greenway, and her son Elbert Forsten (2008). Survived by her daughter-in-law Effie Forsten. Proud grandmother of 7 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 17 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her grandson Brad and her infant granddaughter Annette. Lammie will be missed by her family back in The Netherlands. Lammie was a devoted member of the Blenheim Christian Reformed Church. The Forsten family will receive friends at the Blenheim Christian Reformed Church, 286 Chatham Street, S., Blenheim on Saturday, August 6, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
