JACKSON: Alice Helena. A resident of Chatham, Alice Helena Jackson passed away peacefully on July 23, 2011 at the Meadow Park Nursing Home at the age of 93. Born May 13, 1918 in St. John, New Brunswick, Alice is the daughter of the late George and Marie Louise (Desrochers) Burnett and daughter-in-law of the late George and Beaulah (Jackson) Gray of Ridgetown. Beloved wife of the late Donald Jackson (1997) and the late John Connor (1941). Dear mother of John and Jackie Connor of Chatham, Toyce and Duncan Smith of Chatham, Shirley and Dennis Schmidt of Goderich, and Dean Jackson of Chatham. Cherished grandmother of 10, great grandmother of 15, and great-great grandmother of 2. Survived by her sister Mildred Hamilton of St. John, New Brunswick and brother Edmond Burnett of Mississauga. Beloved sister-in-law of Earl and Ruth Gray of Ridgetown, Fern Gray of Chatham and the late Carl Gray. Predeceased by her sisters Phyllis, Maud, Stella, Louise and Annie and brothers Roy, Maurice, Samuel, Donald, Edgar, Thomas, and Livingstone. Alice was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Chatham and a resident of Meadow Park Nursing Home, Chatham. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. where a memorial service will take place at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
