COUTURE, Reta; A resident of Chatham, Reta Couture passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Riverview Gardens Nursing Home at the age of 86. Born in Dover Township, daughter of the late Theodore & Minnie Lucier . Beloved wife of the late Arsend Couture (2003). Cherished and loving mother to Jerry & Marcia Couture, Brenda & Joseph St. Amand, and Yvette & Brian Louzon. Loving grandmother to Paul Couture (Rhonda), Mike Couture, Scott St. Amand (Penny), Steven St. Amand (Monique), Stuart St. Amand, Kim Reeson, Derek Louzon (Melanie), Marsha Richie (Garry), and the late Keith Louzon (1990). Great-grandmother to Max, Danielle, Emilee, Avery, and Alexandra Couture, Alex, Chris, Britney, Darcey, Josh, and Julia St. Amand, Mackenzie & Chelsea Reeson, Skylar & Kaylee Louzon, Zack & Chloe McDonald. Predeceased by her 2 sisters Ula Emery, Cora Thibodeau, and 3 brothers Harry Lucier, Bert Lucier, and Leo Lucier. Forever missed by many nieces, nephews, and extended families. Reta was a past member of the Ladies of St. Anne at Ste. Philippe Catholic Church, Grande Pointe, and a member of the Catholic Women’s League at St. Agnes Parish, Chatham. She was an exceptional woman who never hesitated to help someone in need, opening her heart and her home to anyone who came along. Reta will be greatly missed by those who loved her. Cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2011 at St. Agnes Catholic Church 52 Croydon Street, Chatham with Fr. Daniel Bombardier as celebrant. Interment of cremated remains to follow in St. Philippe Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Reta Couture to a Charity of Your Choice would be appreciated by the family.
