SKIPPER: Doreen L. A resident of Chatham, Doreen Skipper died peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday July 6, 2011 at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. Born in Chatham 78 years ago, daughter of the late Philias & Emaline (Simard) Audette. Beloved wife of Kenneth Skipper. Loving mother of Damian Skipper (Deborah) of Chatham, Bradley Skipper (Shari) of Chatham, and Heather Vandenham (Blake) of Amherstburg. Cherished grandmother of Tiffanie, Tamara, Caitlin, Ryan, Jason, Vanessa, Robert, Erick, and Madison. Dear sister of Treffle Odette and Francis Audette, both of Chatham, Vincent Audette (Shirley) of Tilbury, and Marie Bechard, and Jean Quenneville, both of Chatham. Doreen is predeceased by her brother Henry (Jean) Audette, sisters-in-law Mae Odette and Pauline Audette, and brothers-in-law Leonard Bechard and Polydore Quenneville. Fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Doreen was a longtime member of St. Ursula’s Catholic Church. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers will be offered at the Funeral Home on Friday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ursula’s Catholic Church, 205 Tweedsmuir Avenue West, Chatham on Saturday July 9, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Matthew Kucharski celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. Donations in memory of Doreen to the Diabetes Association or Heart & Stroke Foundation are appreciated.
