Obituary of Joan Whaley

WHALEY: Joan. A lifelong resident of Chatham, Joan Whaley died peacefully with her family by her side at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Friday June 3, 2011. Born in Chatham, 74 years ago, daughter of the late Bruce & Margaret (Smith) Clark. Beloved wife of 54 years to Robert Whaley. Loving mother of Jamie Whaley & Margaret of Chatham, Tracy Manso & Armando of Chatham, Carmell Whaley of St. Thomas, Karen Whaley of Chatham, April Youskow & Jerry of St. Thomas, Michael Whaley & Teresa of Windsor, Rob Whaley of Chatham, and the late David Whaley. Cherished grandmother of 13 and great grandmother of 15. Joan was involved with her church for many years including service as a Primary Teacher and as a Stake Missionary. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday June 7, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 19 Detroit Drive, Chatham. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
