STAPINSKY: Hazel. A resident of the Village on the Ridge, Ridgetown, Hazel Stapinsky passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the age of 81. Born in Croton, daughter of the late Arlington and Janet (Inglis) Brooks. Beloved wife of the late Stefan (Steve) Stapinsky (2007). Dear mother of Dennis Stapinsky and his wife Marie of Toronto, Catherine Chavis of Ridgetown, David Stapinsky and his wife Cathy of Shrewsbury, and Brenda Sheeler and her husband Bruce of Ridgetown. Grandmother of Alexei (Christine), Andrew (Melanie), Danielle (Darcy), Nathan (Sunamka), Damon, Noelle (Shawn), Chris, and Tyson (Kim). Great-grandmother of Bryce and Kaitlyn. Sister of Harvey and Barbara Brooks of Chatham, Donald and Dorothy Brooks of Milestone, Saskatchewan, and the late Bruce Brooks, and John Brooks. Mrs. Stapinsky was a member of Emmanuel Congregational Church, Ridgetown. She loved playing cards at the Village, and having coffee at Baker Ben’s with the girls. She cherished family gatherings and being with her family. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will he held at Emmanuel Congregational Church, 92 Erie St. N., Ridgetown on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tim Lukings officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown. Donations to Emmanuel Congregational Church or the Howard Mutual Foundation (Howard Mutual Medical Centre) would be appreciated.
