Obituary of John Arthur Webber

Webber: John Arthur, A resident of Chatham, John Webber passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance-Chatham Campus on Monday, May 23, 2011 with his family at his side at the age of 81. He was born in Dutton and was the son of the late Fred and Lena (nee Burns) Webber. Loving husband of 57 years to Ina Webber (nee Peters). Dear father to Linda Sangster (Chris) of Thunder Bay, Barbara McKeegan (Dennis) of Windsor, Joan Thwaites (friend Ken), Robert Webber (friend Maria) and Jeffery Webber all of Chatham. Proud grandfather to 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.Dear brother to Norma Beecroft, Marion Dawdy, Myrtle Brunelle, Betty Matthews (Bill) all of St. Thomas; Lois Kruppe (John) of Fingal, Patsy Foster (Bill) of Iona Station. Predeceased by his brothers Melvin, Doug and Fred. John was a retired employee of AWK Industrial Coatings in Chatham. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Wednesday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Andrew Watkinson officiating. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Dutton, Ont. Memorial donations to honour John’s life can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society and would be appreciated by the family.
