Paling: Mary Lou. A resident of Blenheim, Mary Lou Paling passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the age of 67. Born in Chatham, daughter of Harry and Lyla (Mellon) Reekie. Beloved wife of 50 years to George Paling. Dear mother of Ronald Paling of Kitchener, Jo-Anne Hall of London, and Laura Régimbal (Kim) of Kitchener. Sister of Delores Stefina of Blenheim, Kenneth Reekie (Harriett) of Chatham, and Gordon Reekie (Janet) of Delta, B.C. Grandmother of Kristen, Erika, and Andrew Paling, Ashley and Karly Hall, and Beatrice and Rhéa Régimbal. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mary Lou was a cashier at Sobey’s grocery store, liked to sew, and loved to read and do crossword puzzles. She was a devout wife, mother, and grandmother, and enjoyed family gatherings. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Monday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held from the Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Bill Terris of Blenheim Baptist Church officiating. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society appreciated.
