SUMMERS, Lettie Mae A resident of Chatham, Lettie Mae Summers, passed away peacefully at the Copper Terrace Nursing Home on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the age of 97. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Hugh & Lettie Hales. Beloved wife of the late Norman Summers (1991). Cherished and loving mother to Betty Jane Humphrey of Edmonton, AB, and Bev & Anna Summers of Chatham. Forever missed by her grandchildren Rick Humphrey (Marta), Brian Humphrey (Cathy), Ron Humphrey, Mary Lou Wright (John), her great-grandchildren Jennifer, David, Kelly, Weston, Todd, Lindsay, Gregory, Heather, and 3 great-great-granddaughters. Survived by her sister Helen Smyth of Chatham, and brother-in-law Walter Clements. Predeceased by her 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and grandson Wayne Summers. Lettie will be missed by many nieces & nephews, and one very special niece Sharon Nicholson. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday from 3:00-5:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at the Funeral Home on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
