PERKINS: Marianne “Marnie” (Jackson), It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Marnie surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 20, 2011. Born in Kerrobert Saskatchewan, daughter of the late Gordon and Eileen Jackson. Beloved wife of the late Judge C.E. (Cye) Perkins (1991). Loving mother of Deborah and Brian Morden of London, Gordon and Debbie Perkins of Calgary, Brenda and Tom Meingast of Toronto, and Barbara and Tom Baker of Chatham. Cherished grandmother of Lesleigh and Christopher; Taylor and Jordan; Layne and Andrew; and Lauren and Cameron. Dear sister of the late Don Jackson (1941). Marnie will be forever remembered for her dedication to the community of Chatham-Kent. She was a member of several boards including the Capitol Theatre, St. Clair College, and the Foundation of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA). Marnie was a special events organizer for the Chatham-Kent Community Foundation, and a member of the Flying Officer Austin Wright I.O.D.E Chapter. She was also a honourary lifetime member of the Maycourt Club of Chatham, a member of the Golden ‘K’ Kiwanis, a volunteer member at the Thames Cultural Centre and past team manager of the Maple City Ice Crystals Precision figure skating team. The family would like to express a special thank you to Carol Miller who provided loving support and friendship to our mother over many years. We would also like to extend a sincere thank you to St. Andrew’s Residence, Dr. Martha Clendenning, Venerable Paul Millward and the nurses on floor 4A at the CKHA for their care and compassion. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Monday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Christ Church, 80 Wellington St. W., Chatham on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with the Venerable Paul Millward officiating. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations in memory of Marnie to the Foundation of the Chatham- Kent Health Alliance would be appreciated by the family.
