Obituary of Frances Margaret Bedard

Bedard: Frances Margaret (nee O’Rourke), A resident of Chatham, Frances Bedard passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at the Copper Terrace Long Term Care Home on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at the age of 92. She was born in Chatham and was the daughter of the late Francis and Alice (nee Doyle) O’Rourke. Loving wife of the late Francis Bedard (1988). Dear mother of Richard and Suzanne Bedard of Chatham, Michael and Ann Bedard of Toronto. Proud grandmother to Laura (Scott) Firth, Lisa (Chris) Luther, Jason (Michelle) Bedard, Scott Bedard and Kelly Bedard. Proud great-grandmother to Lucas Firth, Jack Luther and Gabriel Bedard. Dear sister to Mary Merilees. Predeceased by her brothers Joseph, Lou, Steve and Francis O’Rourke. Frances was a devoted wife and mother to her family. Faith and Family were foundations in her life, and were truths she shared openly with those she loved. Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St. Chatham on Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers will be offered at 4:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Blessed Sacrament Church, 145 Victoria Ave., Chatham at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Daniel Bombardier celebrant. Interment to follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. Memorial donations to honour Frances’ life can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and would be appreciated by her family.
